So I’ve been seeing all this talk and what not about this campaign called “The New Ghana”
From what I have seen of it we have all of these grand westernized ideas of architecture and what not but nobody has really come out to say today’s events are the first step in the campaign. Nobody woke up this morning thinking that ‘the new Ghana’ would come so soon. Some people don’t even know that today began the era of a new Ghana.
Don’t you see it? Don’t you feel it? We lost our President today, swore in a new one and we sit back and morn PEACEFULLY mind you. How many countries in the past year have done it so (what seems to be from the outside) effortlessly?
This is the new Ghana. Between the six hours when we had no official president, each person within these national boundaries was able to keep the peace. This is the new Ghana. We are each other’s keeper. We are mourning together. PEACEFULLY.
This is the new Ghana I want to see. I want to see people sitting respectfully in parliament - of different political parties - to swear in a new president. I am so proud of my nation we are truly on a new path. Change never comes easy. We the youth have cried out for the new Ghana for far too long. Now we have it. Tell me … what do you plan to do with it?
The new Ghana doesn’t begin with infrastructure. It doesn’t begin with technology it should begin with us. The mind set. Don’t let infrastructure or technology be the one to change our mindset let us be our own change.
Im proud of our nation and I have no doubt that God is the one keeping us strong.
God Bless my homeland Ghana.
Exactement.
